An event to remember… It seems like just yesterday that we joined together for the industry event of the year, and this year’s ISPA conference certainly did not disappoint bringing together the world’s best all under one roof for a exciting four days. During the week of November 12 to 15 the Gaylord Palms Resort played host the nation’s most fabulous resorts and spas along with our dear friends the nations top Spa Directors and consultants. The event was highlighted by an industry crowning Champagne Celebration, hosted by Eminence Organic Skin Care and attended by the “crème de la crème” of the industry looking to network and enjoy a fun filled evening. Amongst the hundreds of attendees, guests included spa directors from the resorts of Canyon Ranch, Ritz Carlton, Mii Amo and more, as well as award winning Day Spas: Spa Gregorie's and Gaia. During the show floor hours, the Eminence booth hosted a record number of attendees and performed dozens of complimentary treatments every day to show case the latest in Eminence products and techniques. Building on past years successes Eminence shone brighter than ever reaching over 300 people with their new Green Spa initiatives and new Organic skin care collections. This year’s ISPA event confirmed the high demand for natural products and environmentally conscious choices for Spas and their clients, and Eminence’s green initiatives and natural products fit the bill completely. We thank all our clients and colleagues for making this event the best ever and look forward to a fulfilling 2008. | Eminence Contributes to Injured Firefighter of California |
 |
Uncontrolled wildfires in Southern California claimed nearly 3000 structures, including more than 2000 homes. The devastating effects of the fires placed thousands of people out of thier homes, including Eminence partner spa owners. All in all over 68,000 homes were threatened by the fires. Without the determination of the California Fire Departments the fires would have claimed many more homes and lives. As of October 31st, a total of 71 firefighters have been injured from the fires. Eminence has taken the initiative to send the Southern California Fire Department skin care products to help with healing of burns. The Stone Crop Collection and Organic Sun Defense Minerals have been used with Military Soldiers in the past to treat third degree burns, and were a good choice for Firefighters. Provided in the care package were Stone Crop Hydrating Mist to heal and hydrate the skin, Citrus Lip Balm to moisturize the lips without added parabens and petroleum and the Translucent Sun Defense Mineral SPF 30 to protect and heal. Eminence sends its best wishes to the family, friends and those who were injured during the California wildfires. |

Helping To Keep Our City Beautiful
When Eminence learned that approximately 20% of the forested area in Vancouver's historic Stanley Park had been leveled by high winds we were on board to make a difference. Eminence president, Boldijarre Koronczay who took time out of his busy schedule this year to plant trees in Stanley Park will help rebuild this landmark. Eminence will be starting at the root, very literally. Our donation of $2000 will be designated to fund the planting of trees in Stanley Park. With this donation we are helping to restore the park to its natural beauty, for all of us, and for the future generations to come. For the first time in over 40 years the 1000 acre park was closed to the public because of storms that ransacked Vancouver, home to Eminence headquarters. Winds as high as 119km/hr left thousands of trees uprooted, snapped in half, and splintered affecting biking paths, hiking trials and beaches inside the park. In the city of Vancouver, having a national historic park located in the downtown core is symbolic of the city’s reputation for green spaces, clean air, healthy living and a physically active population. The devastation of such a rare ecological habitat in an urban environment was a cause of concern for Eminence who is an environmentally conscious skin care company.At Eminence we strive to keep your skin beautiful without compromising the environment. We consciously use recycled corn packaging chips, our products are hand-made and packaged in 100% recyclable containers and boxes and we use courier services that run on bio-diesel fuel and hybrid vehicles.
